Alex was a resident DJ at Hippo Bar from 2010-2013, and has also played at other venues such as Digress Cocktail Bar, Transit Bar, Rydges Capital Hill, and Old Parliament House. Alex was also a longstanding Resident DJ at Canberra's best latin nightclub - MonkeyBar from 2008-2011, You may have caught Alex around town at public events and festivals such as Floriade NightFest, or a number of MS Australia functions such as the MS Fun Run, MegaSwim and Colour Dash. | |||
Alex has been playing piano, keyboards and synthesiser in professional bands since the age of 16 when he joined Australia's leading Latin Band Mi Tierra. Mi Tierra is nationally reknowned for its musical energy and the rhythm section of brothers Giorgio (drums), Zamar (congas) and Valeri (bass) Rojas combined with Alex's complex rhythmic montunos and punchy synth lines were unmatched in Australia. After 7 years of performing at music festivals and venues Australia-wide, Alex left Mi Tierra in February 2010 to pursue a number of musical projects. | |||

In his spare time, Alex also teaches piano to several students; composes and arranges music for a number of bands including Who's Ya Daddy and Los Chavos, does freelance work as a sound engineer and works on various projects such as remixes and soundscapes. |
